Most focus apps miss the point.

Other apps stack timers, playlists, and dashboards on top of the work. NEDIO collapses all of it into one tab and one button.

Developer surrounded by clutter, scattered tabs, and a broken timer

Other focus apps

  • Five minutes spent finding the right playlist before writing a line of code
  • Timer in one tab, music in another, notes in a third
  • A timer that ended, but no idea if you were actually in it
  • Sprints that end with nothing logged, so tomorrow starts from scratch

With NEDIO

  • One button. Audio and timer start together in under 10 seconds
  • Everything inside the tab you're already working in
  • 30-second close-out captures what landed. Tomorrow's goal is already waiting.
  • Honest focus time minus pauses. Numbers you can actually trust.

How it works

How a NEDIO session actually works

01 · Set up

Start with the task, not the timer

Name what you're working on first: fix the auth redirect, finish the parser tests, review PR #214. Then pick a duration and work mode. The start button echoes your commitment back: "Start 45-min block: fix auth redirect." Audio and timer launch together.

  • Goal field pre-fills from your last session's parking line
  • No account required to start your first block
  • Work mode shapes what you're asked at the end, so "Debug" gets a debug question

02 · Focus

Distraction-free, by design

The tab title shows your task and the time remaining, so every context switch back is a re-entry, not a restart. The focus view shows one thing: your task and the countdown. No notifications. No playlist to manage.

  • Tab title: 32:14 | fix auth redirect bug
  • Pauses are logged, not hidden — so the numbers stay honest
  • Fully keyboard-driven

03 · Review

Know what you actually built

When your session ends — one sprint or five — a 30-second close-out surfaces three prompts: how did it feel, what landed, and what's your next step. That parking line becomes tomorrow's goal.

  • See quality, not just quantity: strong/partial/scattered over time
  • Focus time minus pauses and tab-aways — no more inflated numbers
  • A weekly sentence that reads like a friend:"Your 10am blocks rated strong 4/4 times."

Frequently asked questions

What is NEDIO?

NEDIO is a focus tool built for developers. It combines a sprint timer, curated focus music, and sprint tracking in a single browser tab. It helps you get into flow and ship meaningful work.

Is NEDIO free?

Yes. You get 30 minutes of focus audio per day without an account, or 60 minutes per day when signed in. Pro removes the time limit, adds timer customization, skip controls, and weekly analytics for $7.99/month.

Do I need to create an account?

No. You can start a sprint immediately without signing up. Creating an account lets you save your listening progress across devices and sprints. A free account also gives you a daily 60-minute budget that resets each day.

How is NEDIO different from Spotify or YouTube playlists?

Playlists are passive. You pick music and hope it works. NEDIO pairs curated instrumental audio with a structured sprint timer, so you start the sprint, hear the audio, and work until the timer ends. No playlist curation. No autoplay rabbit holes.

What kind of music does NEDIO play?

NEDIO plays instrumental focus audio: ambient, electronic, and lo-fi tracks selected for coding. No lyrics. No ads. The goal is audio that supports concentration without competing for your attention.

How does NEDIO track my sessions?

Every sprint logs quality, what landed, and your next step in 30 seconds at the end. Your weekly view shows honest focus time minus pauses, how often you hit the goal you set, and a one-sentence pattern of when you focus best.

Can I use NEDIO with Pomodoro?

Yes. The sprint timer supports standard Pomodoro intervals (25/5) as well as custom durations. Pro users can configure work and break intervals to match their preferred sprint rhythm.
